Me in the Group B-spec 86 immediately after passing the Peugeot for the win
...and from the other side.
Group B-spec GT-R hanging out with pals in the Nissan museum
I tried to recreate my buddy’s GTI (although his is a 4-door) and went on a little tour with it. He’s from California, so that’s the first stop.
And then it’s off to Germany to attack the Nurburgring! Morning mist was burning off in the fields near the circuit.
Wunderbar!
McLaren HQ has a problem with people leaving cars where they shouldn’t be.
These are all just from the demo running this week, which is very stingy about giving you cars to use. So despite me playing off-and-on for...most of today, I only have 5 cars in my garage. Looking forward to having the full disc in my hands next week to make use of the full roster of cars and features! I’ve been having a lot of fun with what’s available in the demo.

That first GTI looks like a real picture. Impressive.
Part of me wants to pick up a PS4 just for GT Sport, but I don’t care about the sport part of the game and I like VR racing too much to abandon it. I got into iRacing lately, VR competitive online in that game is just fantastic.

When I was scrolling through the available Scapes locations, I saw that mountain backdrop and for a second thought it was the same location that JBH recently visited:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I was hoping for full VR support with GT Sport, but the limited implementation isn’t enough for me to pull the trigger on the VR system.
The “Campaign” as I’ve seen it in the demo is going to be very underwhelming compared to previous GTs. On the bright side, the Arcade mode race setup options are way better than ever before.
It sounds like, for you, GT Sport may be worth picking up in a year or so once it’s had some DLC to fill it out.

I don’t think GT sport will be worth the price of it and a PS4. If I already had the system I’d get it for sure, I like turning laps in street cars which is something iRacing doesn’t do and other games don’t do quite as well as GT IMO. Forza is okay but the physics have never felt great to me and the incompatibility with my existing wheel kills it on Xbox. Assetto Corsa is good, but the menus are clunky and irritating to use. Project Cars 1 was OK, I might try PC2 when it’s on sale especially since I believe it has full VR capability (PC1 did)
